I am visiting Tbilisi in January to avoid the crowds. What is good to check out first thing on my first morning before everything gets busy?

For an early arrival during the low season outside the peak April to July and September to October months, starting outdoors at Freedom Square is a straightforward way to begin. January temperatures average around 2.9°C, so expect cold mornings. Key city landmarks you can head toward include the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, Rustaveli Theatre, and Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, alongside historic sites like Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
