I'm planning a slow trip to Dakar and prefer lingering in one scenic place over rushing around. Where's a great viewpoint or sunset spot to just relax?

For broad coastal views and scenic vantage points in Dakar, the key landmarks include the African Renaissance Monument, the Cap-Vert peninsula, and Pointe des Almadies. Offshore viewpoints include Goree Island and the Madeleine Islands. If you prefer pleasant weather for lingering outdoors, January through June is the best travel window, when average temperatures stay between 20.4°C and 24.8°C.
