My partner and I are planning a trip to Colombo and want to find a nice spot for sunset or taking in the city lights at night. Any top recommendations?

For scenic viewpoints and evening sights in Colombo, two of the city's key landmarks stand out: the Lotus Tower and Galle Face Green. The Lotus Tower offers elevated panoramic views over the city and skyline, making it a prominent destination for city views and night scenery. Down along the coast, Galle Face Green is a top public spot right on the oceanfront that is especially popular around sunset. If you are planning your trip, the city's best travel season runs from January through March, with warm average temperatures between 25.8°C and 27.2°C.
