I'm planning my first visit to Ohrid and I'm curious about what usually surprises people. Are there any specific sights or weather patterns I should be aware of before I go?

First-time visitors are often struck by the beauty of Lake Ohrid and the city's rich history, seen in sites like the Church of St. John at Kaneo, Samuil's Fortress, and the Ancient Theatre of Ohrid. You can also explore the Church of St. Sophia and Saint Panteleimon. For the best experience, we recommend visiting between May and October. If you are flying in, the nearest airport is Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport.
