I'm currently planning my first trip to Bujumbura and want to get a feel for the city. What usually surprises first-time visitors about the place? Are there any specific sights I shouldn't miss?

Visitors often find the consistent climate surprising, as monthly temperatures typically hover around 23°C throughout the year. For the best experience, we recommend visiting in February or between June and October. While exploring, be sure to visit the Living Museum of Bujumbura, Regina Mundi Cathedral, the Livingstone–Stanley Monument, and the Ruzizi River. You will likely arrive via Bujumbura International Airport (BJM).
