Museum Pasifika

Museum Pasifika

Museum Pasifika is an art museum in Bali, Indonesia. It presents a variety of cultural artefacts from the Asia–Pacific region.

What it is

Museum Pasifika is an art museum in southern Bali holding a collection of paintings, sculpture and other artefacts drawn from across the Asia-Pacific region, including works connected to Bali's own art history. It suits travellers who want an indoor, air-conditioned break from the beach and an introduction to regional art rather than a purely Balinese-focused collection.

Getting there

The museum sits within the Nusa Dua resort area in southern Bali. From central Nusa Dua it's a short taxi or scooter ride of about 10-15 minutes; from Kuta or Seminyak, allow 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, since you'll be crossing the island's busy south. From Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), the trip takes roughly 20-30 minutes.

How much time to allow

Most visitors spend around 1 to 1.5 hours moving through the galleries. It works well as a single stop rather than an anchor for a full day.

When to go

Because it's indoors, time of day matters less than at outdoor sites, though visiting earlier can mean fewer tour groups passing through. It's a reasonable option during the middle of the day when outdoor Nusa Dua attractions are at their hottest.

Combine it with

  • Benoa Bay (5.4km) — the closest option, suited to a water-sports stop before or after the museum.
  • Garuda Wisnu Kencana (7km) and Pandawa Beach (7km) — both a similar distance out, workable as a second stop later the same day.
  • Pura Dalem Sakenan (8.3km) — a temple visit for those wanting to pair the museum with a cultural site rather than a beach.
