Privacy Policy

World by City (worldbycity.com) and its mobile app are operated by Tanzsoft Co., Ltd. Every feature works without signing up, and for guests we do not collect personally identifiable information. Optional social sign-in (Google or Apple) is available only if you want your saved places kept across devices.
Information we use
· Web: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (Google Analytics) and use cookies for operating the service.
· App: We use the device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications. We do not collect names, contacts, or other personal identifiers.
Account (social sign-in) data
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the name and email address from that account and the account identifier issued by the provider. This is used only to attach your saved places to your account so they persist across devices; we store no passwords. Pressing "Delete account" on the sign-in page deletes your account and saved places immediately.
Third-party services
Analytics is provided by Google Analytics and app notifications by Google Firebase; the iOS app shows ads via Google AdMob. When you tap a booking link (hotels, flights, tours), you are taken to a partner site (Agoda, Booking.com, etc.), where that provider’s privacy policy applies.
Nearby (location)
If you open the Nearby tab of the iOS app and allow location access, the app sends your current coordinates to our server once to get a list of nearby sights and cities. The coordinates are used only to build that list and are not stored or logged, and the app never reads your location in the background. Pages you "Save offline" are kept on your device only.
Advertising (iOS app)
The Nearby and Saved screens of the iOS app show a Google AdMob banner ad at the bottom. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may process a device identifier (the advertising identifier is not used), approximate location derived from the IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic data. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before ads are shown and can change it any time under "Ad privacy options" in the app. See Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Purpose and retention
Collected data is used only to operate and improve the service, to send notifications and for the app advertising described above. We do not sell user information.
Your choices
You can turn off push notifications in the app or your device settings, and block cookies in your browser settings.
