This is my first trip abroad in years so I will probably be awake at dawn. What spots or sights in Honiara are good to check out early?

For an early start in Honiara, outdoor landmarks and open sites are your best options. You can visit the Guadalcanal American Memorial or head toward the Mataniko River and Lunga River areas to begin your day. Key cultural landmarks in town include Holy Cross Cathedral and Saint Barnabas Anglican Cathedral. If you are traveling between May and October, you will catch the best season, with average monthly temperatures consistently staying around 25.7°C to 26.3°C throughout the year.
