Thinking of going to Kigali during the rainy months with a friend who walks quite slowly. Is it still manageable and worth the trip, or should we wait?

The prime travel window is February and May through September. Outside these months, Kigali is in its wetter season, but temperatures remain mild and stable throughout the entire year, averaging between 19.5°C and 21.4°C. Indoor cultural stops like the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kandt House Museum, Sainte-Famille Church, and the Rwanda Art Museum can easily be explored regardless of rain. If you want to visit Mount Kigali or Nyandungu Urban Wetland Eco-Tourism Park, wet weather may slow you down, but the city remains very viable.
