Tel Kabri

Tel Kabri is an archaeological site in western Galilee. It contains the remains of a large Bronze Age Canaanite palace and evidence of human settlement dating back to the Neolithic period, sustained by the area's natural springs. Visitors go here to see the excavated architectural layouts of the ancient palace and the surrounding water systems.

Getting There

The site is located outside the center of Acre. The most direct way to reach it is by car or taxi, which typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1.5 to 3 hours to walk through the excavation site and view the ruins.

When to Visit

The site is outdoors and exposed to the elements. Visiting during the spring or autumn is advisable to avoid the extreme heat of the summer. Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday sun. It does not typically experience the same level of crowding as the main attractions within Acre's Old City.
