Castell de Sant Ferran
Castell de Sant Ferran
This fortress is a defensive stronghold located on a hill overlooking Alicante. Visitors go here to walk along the historic walls and watchtowers and to view the surrounding city and the Mediterranean Sea.
Getting There
The fortress is located a short distance from the city centre. It can be reached via a brief taxi ride or a walk of approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the central districts.
Duration of Visit
Allow between two and three hours to explore the fortifications, walk the perimeter of the walls, and visit the interior structures.
When to Visit
Morning or late afternoon visits are recommended to avoid the midday heat, as the stone walls provide little shade. During the peak summer season, the site can become crowded with tourists.

- Plaza 25 de Mayo de Alicante (0.5km)
- Campoamor (0.6km)
- Mercado Central de Alicante (0.6km)
