Overview

The Basel Paper Mill is an interactive museum dedicated to the craft of papermaking, printing, and calligraphy. Getting There

From central Basel, walk roughly 15 minutes along the Rhine into the St. Alban area. Alternatively, local trams reach nearby stops in under 10 minutes, followed by a short walk down to the canal.

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours to tour the multi-level exhibits and watch the artisan demonstrations at the various workstations.

The building can become crowded on weekend afternoons and rainy days due to family visits and workshops. Weekday mornings typically see fewer visitors, providing clearer views of the live demonstrations.
