Overview

The Museum of Vuk and Dositej is dedicated to two pivotal figures in Serbian culture: Vuk Karadžić, who reformed the Serbian language, and Dositej Obradović, the country's first minister of education. Located in an 18th-century Ottoman-style building, the exhibition presents manuscripts, personal items, and documents highlighting the cultural revival during the First Serbian Uprising.

Getting There

From central Republic Square, the site is a 5 to 10-minute walk north along Francuska or Dositejeva street. City buses and trolleybuses stopping at nearby Studentski Trg are also a short walk away.

Time to Allow

Allow 45 to 60 minutes. The collection covers two floors and is straightforward to explore.
