Overview

St. Mark's Church is a Serbian Orthodox church situated inside Tašmajdan Park in Belgrade. Constructed in the Serbo-Byzantine style, it features monumental domes, patterned brickwork, and a spacious interior. Getting There

The site is an easy 10- to 15-minute walk southeast from central Belgrade (such as Republic Square or Terazije) along Bulevar kralja Aleksandra. Local city trams and buses also stop directly along the park perimeter.

Time to Allow

Plan to spend between 20 and 30 minutes. This allows sufficient time to view the interior iconostasis, examine the nave, and walk around the outside structure.

When to Visit

Daytime hours offer the best light for viewing the interior. The church is rarely overcrowded with tourists. However, local worshippers attend services on Sunday mornings and major Orthodox holidays, during which visitors must remain quiet and wear modest clothing.
