Located in central Belize, this small national park protects a remnant of tropical forest. The primary draw for visitors is a massive, ancient guanacaste tree. This specific tree survived logging efforts because its trunk splits into three separate sections, making it unsuitable for timber production.

The park is situated within the vicinity of Belmopan. From the city centre, it is a short trip accessible by taxi or local transport, typically taking a few minutes to reach the entrance.
