Hulimavu Cave Temple
This is a Shiva temple located within a natural cave near Bannerghatta Road. Visitors come here to see the cave structure and the remnants of a sage's long-term meditation practice, which are still visible inside the sanctuary.
Getting There
The temple is located in the southern part of Bengaluru. From the city centre, you can reach it via taxi or ride-sharing services. Depending on the traffic conditions common in the city, the journey typically takes between 45 to 90 minutes.
Visit Duration
Because the site is a compact cave temple, most visitors spend approximately 30 to 60 minutes exploring the interior and the immediate surroundings.
When to Visit
Visiting during the early morning hours is recommended to avoid the midday heat and the larger crowds that gather during weekends and religious festivals. The weather is generally most pleasant during the winter months from October to February.
