Karlova Ves is a residential borough situated in western Bratislava along the Danube River and the base of the Little Carpathians. Originally a small winemaking village, the area today provides an authentic glimpse into everyday city life outside the tourist core, with local shops, residential streets, and access to natural trails.

Reaching the district from central Bratislava is straightforward using public transport. Frequent tram and bus connections run along the river route from the city centre, with travel times usually between 15 and 20 minutes.
