About the Rapids

Livingstone Falls is a vast series of river rapids located along the lower Congo River, extending directly downstream from Malebo Pool. Named after explorer David Livingstone, the location draws visitors interested in viewing the immense scale and rapid flow of the river currents.

Getting There

From central Brazzaville, access to vantage points along the river is typically arranged by taxi or private car heading southwest. The drive generally takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on local traffic.
