Kurilpa Bridge

The Kurilpa Bridge is a pedestrian and cycling bridge crossing the Brisbane River. It is known for its distinctive architectural design, which earned it the Transport Building of the Year at the 2011 World Architecture Festival. Travelers visit the bridge to cross the river between the city center and South Bank or to view its unique structural engineering.

Getting There

The bridge is located within walking distance of the Brisbane central business district. From the city center, it takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes to reach the bridge on foot.

Most visitors spend between 15 and 30 minutes crossing the bridge and observing the design. Those interested in photography may stay longer.

When to Visit

The bridge is accessible at all times. Visiting during the evening allows you to see the structure illuminated. It can become crowded during peak commuting hours and on weekends when locals and tourists use it to access South Bank.
