Tillegembos is a forested public park situated on the southern outskirts of Bruges, centered around a historic castle estate. Located roughly 4 kilometers south of central Bruges, the park is reachable in 15 to 20 minutes by bicycle. Public buses departing from Bruges railway station reach nearby stops in Sint-Michiels in about 20 minutes, followed by a short walk to the trailheads.

Time to Spend

Allow 1 to 2 hours for a standard walk around the central estate and woodlands. Cyclists and visitors exploring extended trails should plan for 2 to 3 hours.

When to Visit

The grounds can be visited year-round, with spring and summer offering the driest trails and full foliage. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quietest. Weekends and sunny afternoons draw more local walkers, runners, and families. Unpaved trails can become muddy after autumn and winter rain, so sturdy shoes are recommended.
