Irgandı Bridge

Overview

Irgandı Bridge is a historic bridge spanning the stream that runs through central Bursa. Connecting two districts, the structure provides a vantage point for observing the waterway and surrounding cityscape. Travellers visit to see its traditional built structure and take in views over the urban valley.

Getting There

Located close to the city centre, the bridge is a 5 to 10-minute walk east from the central Heykel area. Short taxi rides and municipal buses also connect to the roads on either side of the crossing.

Suggested Duration

Allow 20 to 30 minutes to walk across, view the gorge from the bridge edges, and browse the small craft workshops lined along the span.

When to Visit

Daylight hours offer the clearest visibility for city views. Afternoons and weekends draw heavier foot traffic; mornings are generally calmer. The site can be visited year-round, though stone surfaces may be slippery during rain or snow.
