Church of San Buenaventura
Overview
Built around 1890 by Franciscan friars, the Church of San Buenaventura is a historic Catholic church situated in Casablanca's old medina. It reflects the city's historical ties with Spain and offers a concrete example of late 19th-century European architecture set inside a traditional Moroccan walled quarter.
Getting There
From United Nations Square in the city centre, the site is a 10- to 15-minute walk. Taxis can drop passengers at the medina perimeter near the Casablanca Clock Tower, after which you must proceed on foot through the pedestrian-only alleys.

Allow roughly 20 to 30 minutes to view the building and its exterior architecture.
When to Visit
Visit during daylight hours for easier navigation through the medina lanes. The surrounding alleys become crowded in the late afternoon and evening, so mornings are preferable for quieter walking conditions.
