L’Uzine
L’Uzine
L’Uzine is a multidisciplinary cultural center located in the Ain Sebaa industrial district of Casablanca. Opened in 2014, the space functions as a hub for contemporary art, hosting a rotating schedule of exhibitions, live performances, and film screenings. Travelers visit this site to engage with Morocco's modern creative scene in a non-traditional gallery setting.
Getting There
The center is situated away from the primary tourist hubs in the city center. The most practical way to reach the industrial district is by taxi or ride-sharing service. Depending on traffic conditions in Casablanca, the journey from the center typically takes between 20 and 40 minutes.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to explore the current exhibitions and the facility. The amount of time spent may vary depending on whether a specific performance or screening is taking place during the visit.
When to Visit
Visitors should check the current event calendar before arriving, as the nature of the exhibits changes frequently. The venue does not typically experience the same heavy crowds as the city's major landmarks, though it may be busier during scheduled opening nights or special festivals.
Nearby Attractions
Because it is located in an industrial area, you can combine a visit here with other nearby points of interest:
- Oukacha Lighthouse (1.9km)
- Hay Mohammadi (2.4km)
- Carrières Centrales (2.9km)
- Roches Noires (3.4km)
