Ștefan cel Mare Central Park

Ștefan cel Mare Central Park

Located in the heart of Chișinău, this is the oldest park in Moldova. Visitors go here to walk through the "Alley of Classics," which features acacia and mulberry trees over a century old. It is a common meeting point for locals and couples, often referred to as "Lovers' Park."

Getting There

The park is situated directly in the city centre. Most visitors can reach it on foot from any central hotel or landmark within a few minutes. If arriving from other parts of the city, public transport stops are available within short walking distance of the main entrances.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk the main paths and explore the tree-lined alleys at a leisurely pace.

When to Visit

The park is accessible throughout the year, though the century-old trees provide the most shade during the summer months. It can get crowded during weekends and public holidays, as it is a primary social hub for residents.

Nearby Attractions

Because of its central location, the park can be combined with several nearby sites within a short walk:

  • Memorial to Victims of Stalinist Repressions (0.1km)
  • Stephen the Great Monument (0.2km)
  • National History Museum of Moldova (0.2km)
