Bangladesh Railway Museum
Located in Chittagong, this is the only railway museum in Bangladesh. Housed in a converted bungalow, the facility displays a collection of artifacts and materials that document the history and development of the national railway system. Visitors go here to see historical railway equipment and learn about the evolution of transport in the region.
Getting There
The museum is accessible from the Chittagong city centre via rickshaw or ride-sharing services. Depending on the current traffic conditions in the city, the journey typically takes between 20 and 40 minutes.
Visit Duration
Most visitors spend approximately 1 to 2 hours exploring the exhibits and the grounds of the bungalow.
When to Visit
Visiting during the cooler months of the year is advisable to avoid the intense heat and humidity. It is generally quieter during weekday mornings, while weekends may see an increase in local visitors.
