Ciudad del Este is a border city in eastern Paraguay, facing Brazil across the Paraná River. It connects to the Iguazu area on the other side of the river, making it easy to combine into one trip.

Iguazu River
One of the largest rivers flowing into South America's Paraná, it rises in the Brazilian highlands and flows to the border area with Paraguay. At 1,320 km long, it offers exotic scenery along its course.

Saltos del Monday
The main attraction of Monday Municipal Park near Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, this is a magnificent waterfall about 45m high and 120m wide. It's a great place to walk and admire the cool cascade up close.

This Buddhist temple stands in the Triple Frontier area where Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina meet, built in 1996 by Chinese immigrants. Belonging to the Pure Land school, it's a great place to explore its exotic atmosphere.
