Overview

The Piarist Church is Transylvania's first Roman Catholic church and the region's first Baroque building. Travellers visit to see its distinct architectural transition, where a plain exterior gives way to a richly decorated interior filled with period altarpieces and artwork.

Getting There

Located in central Cluj-Napoca, the site is reachable on foot from Unirii Square in approximately two minutes (about 200 metres).

Visit during the day for better natural lighting inside. Because this is an active church, avoid times scheduled for religious services if you wish to walk around. It rarely sees heavy crowds, with weekdays being the quietest.
