Amazon Monument

The Amazon Monument is a 30-meter bronze statue located on the Esplanade des Amazones in Cotonou. It commemorates the Dahomey Amazons, a female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey. Visitors go here to see one of Africa's tallest statues and learn about the history of these women warriors.
