Sinda Island is an uninhabited island located within the marine protected area of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Visitors go here to observe the rare coconut crab and explore 19th-century ruins. The site provides a combination of coastal nature and historical remains.
Getting There
To reach the island from the city centre, you must first travel to the Kigamboni area and then hire a local boat for the crossing. The total travel time varies depending on traffic to the coast and boat availability, but generally takes between 1 to 2 hours.
