Gulshan Society Mosque
Overview
Gulshan Society Mosque is a modern place of worship in Dhaka's Gulshan area. Completed in 2017 to a design by architect Kashef Chowdhury, the multi-story structure features a restrained, contemporary aesthetic with geometric concrete screens. Travellers visit to observe an urban mosque built in a distinctive modernist style.
Getting There
Located in northern Dhaka, the site is reachable from the city centre by taxi or rideshare in 45 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic. From Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC), travel takes 30 to 45 minutes.

When to Go
Mid-morning or early afternoon outside prayer hours is best for a quiet visit. The mosque becomes crowded during daily prayer times and Friday midday prayers. Visitors should dress modestly with covered arms and legs, and remove shoes before entering.
