Lari Mosque, also known as Lareli Mosque, is a small Ottoman-era place of worship situated in the historic old town of Edirne, Turkey. Built in the early 16th century by an imperial court physician, it offers travelers an example of local neighborhood religious architecture rather than a grand imperial complex.

Located within Edirne's central historic district, the site is reachable on foot from the city centre in approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Taxis and local minibuses running through the old town also provide quick access to nearby streets.

Budget roughly 15 to 30 minutes for a stop here. The site is compact, allowing visitors enough time to examine the masonry, courtyard, and interior hall without a lengthy commitment.

When to Visit

Daylight hours between prayer times are best for visiting. Because it remains an active mosque, plan around the five daily prayer sessions and avoid visiting during Friday midday congregational prayers. The site rarely experiences tourist crowds.
