The Groote Kerk is a Dutch Reformed church located within the walls of the Galle Fort. Built in 1755, it is one of the oldest Protestant churches still in use in Sri Lanka. Getting There
The church is situated near the main gate inside the Galle Fort. Since the fort is a compact, pedestrian-friendly area, it is easily accessible by walking from the city center. Depending on your starting point within the walk typically takes between 5 to 15 minutes.
