Renmore
Renmore
Renmore is a coastal village located approximately 2km east of Galway city centre. Visitors go here primarily for the coastal scenery and access to Ballyloughane Beach. It serves as a quiet area for walking along the shoreline and observing the Atlantic coast away from the main city bustle.
Getting There
The area is located a short distance from the city centre. Depending on the mode of transport, it takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes by car or taxi, or about 20 to 30 minutes on foot via the eastern residential routes.
Duration of Visit
Depending on the activity, allow 1 to 3 hours. A brief walk along the coast takes less than an hour, while spending a few hours at the beach or exploring the village perimeter requires more time.
When to Visit
The area is best visited during daylight hours. Summer months are most suitable for beach activities, while autumn and spring are appropriate for walking. It is generally less crowded than the central tourist districts of Galway, though the beach may see more locals during sunny weekends.
