Ganja Fortress
Overview
Ganja Fortress consists of surviving stone wall fragments located near the Ganja River. Travellers visit to see these defensive remnants, which mark the historic city entrance and line parts of the oldest public park.
Getting There
The remains are located in central Ganja, approximately a 5- to 10-minute walk from the city centre. From Ganja International Airport (GNJ), a taxi or local transit takes around 15 to 20 minutes to reach the area.

Because only partial wall structures remain standing, a visit typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
When to Visit
Spring and autumn offer comfortable conditions for walking outside. In summer, visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid high temperatures. The site does not get heavily crowded with tourists, though the adjacent park sees more local visitors on weekends.
