What to Expect

The Reformation Wall is a stone monument built into Geneva's former ramparts. It displays statues and reliefs depicting key figures and events of the Protestant Reformation, including John Calvin and John Knox. Visitors come to inspect the stonework, read carved inscriptions, and understand Geneva's role in Reformation history.

Getting There

From central Geneva and Cornavin station, it is a 15- to 20-minute walk south toward the Old Town. Public trams and buses also reach the nearby Place de Neuve stop in about 10 minutes.

Time to Spend

Allow 20 to 30 minutes. The linear layout along the promenade provides ample time to view the central figures and read the inscriptions.

When to Visit

Visit during daylight hours to clearly see the stone carvings. Mornings are quieter before tour groups arrive. Because the monument is outdoors, avoid rainy days. The area gets busier on sunny weekend afternoons.
