Gibraltar Botanic Gardens
Located on the hillside below the Rock Hotel, these gardens span approximately 6 hectares. Visitors go here to walk through a collection of diverse plant species arranged across a sloping landscape. It serves as a quiet space for observing botanical variety within the unique environment of the Rock of Gibraltar.
Getting There
The gardens are accessible from Gibraltar's city centre via a short taxi ride or a walk uphill. Depending on your starting point and pace, the journey typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
Duration of Visit
Allow roughly 1 to 2 hours to walk the paths and view the different plant sections at a leisurely pace.
When to Visit
The gardens are generally quiet, though visiting during the cooler morning hours is advisable to avoid the midday heat. Spring and autumn are suitable seasons for walking the grounds due to milder temperatures.
