Generalkogel is a 713-meter hill located on the western edge of the highlands northwest of Graz. Travelers visit this location primarily for hiking and walking trails. A notable point of interest near the summit is the "General's Wife's Grave," which underwent renovation in 2009.
Getting There
The hill is located outside the city center of Graz. Visitors typically reach the area via car or local transport toward the northwest highlands. Depending on the mode of transport and traffic, the journey from the city center generally takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Time Requirement
Depending on the chosen walking trail and the pace of the hike, visitors should allow between 2 and 4 hours to ascend the hill, visit the summit markers, and return.
