About the Museum

The Vietnam Museum of Revolution opened in 1959 as a national museum in Hanoi. It houses artifacts, photographs, and documents tracing the history of Vietnam's revolutionary movement. Visitors interested in modern Vietnamese history go there to view original wartime records, political documents, and physical relics from the 20th century.

Getting There

The site is situated east of Hoan Kiem Lake. Walking from the city centre takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes. By taxi or ride-hailing car, the journey takes around 5 to 10 minutes depending on city traffic.

Time to Allow

Plan to spend between 1 and 2 hours inside the building. This provides sufficient time to move through the galleries and examine the display cases.

When to Go

Morning and early afternoon visits offer a quiet setting. The venue rarely sees heavy crowds, allowing for self-paced viewing. Visiting during the middle of the day is also a good way to stay indoors during hot or rainy weather.
