Çətir Waterfall
Located in the mountains of Karabakh, this waterfall is characterized by water that fans out in the shape of an open umbrella as it descends through a gorge. Visitors go here for trekking and walking along the valley, where the sound of the rushing water echoes through the landscape.
Getting There
The waterfall is situated near the city of Khankendi. Access is typically via local roads leading toward the mountainous outskirts. Depending on the mode of transport and traffic, the journey from the city center takes a short amount of time.
Duration of Visit
Allow two to four hours for a visit. This provides enough time to hike the surrounding trails, reach the base of the falls, and observe the gorge.
When to Visit
The best seasons to visit are spring and early summer when water levels are typically higher due to snowmelt. To avoid the midday heat and potential crowds, arriving in the early morning is recommended.
