Overview

Shusha Cave camp is an archaeological and natural site situated on a hill near the Jidir Plain. It features traces of ancient human habitation alongside an open natural landscape. Travellers visit for a gentle hike to explore early historical remains and view the surrounding terrain.

Getting There

The site can be reached from the city centre by local taxi or on foot. A car ride takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes, while walking along the uphill route takes around 30 to 45 minutes.

Recommended Duration

Plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours on site. This provides sufficient time to inspect the cave area, walk the hillside trails, and take in the scenery.

When to Visit

Late spring through early autumn provides the best conditions for walking the unpaved paths. Visiting in the morning or late afternoon helps avoid midday heat during the summer months. The area is generally quiet and rarely encounters heavy crowds.
