Kukuliškiai Hillfort
The Kukuliškiai hillfort is a Late Bronze Age archaeological site situated within the Seaside Regional Park on the Lithuanian coast. Visitors go here to see the physical remains of an ancient settlement and to walk the "Litorina" nature trail, which integrates the historical traces with the coastal landscape.
Getting There
The site is located on the outskirts of Klaipėda. From the city centre, it is accessible by car or local transport, typically taking around 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic and the specific starting point.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to explore the hillfort area and walk along the associated nature trail.
When to Visit
The site is best visited during the spring, summer, and autumn when the nature trails are most accessible. Daylight hours are recommended for safety and visibility on the paths. It generally does not experience the high crowd levels found in the city centre.
