Darul Hana Bridge

The Darul Hana Bridge is a pedestrian-only bridge crossing the Sarawak River. It serves as the only bridge connecting the northern and southern sections of the city. Travelers visit this landmark to walk across the river and view the Kuching Waterfront and the surrounding cityscape.

Getting There

The bridge is located adjacent to the Kuching Waterfront. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short walk or a quick ride by local transport, typically taking less than 10 minutes depending on the starting point.

Duration of Visit

Most visitors spend between 30 and 60 minutes crossing the bridge and taking photographs of the river and city skyline.

When to Visit

Evening is the preferred time to visit, as the bridge is illuminated and the temperature is cooler. The area becomes crowded during weekends and public holidays, particularly at sunset.

Nearby Attractions

Because of its central location, the bridge can be combined with visits to several nearby sites within walking distance:

  • Indian Mosque: 0.2km
  • The Astana: 0.2km
  • Textile Museum Sarawak: 0.3km
  • St Thomas's Cathedral, Kuching: 0.5km
