Tomb of Dai Anga
What It Is
The Tomb of Dai Anga is a 17th-century Mughal-era tomb complex located in Begampura, just outside Lahore's Walled City. Also associated with the historic Gulabi Bagh gateway, the site commemorates the wet nurse of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Travellers visit to examine surviving Mughal brick masonry, decorative tile work, and historical mausoleum architecture in an authentic neighborhood setting.
Getting There
The site is situated east of central Lahore near the Grand Trunk Road. A trip by taxi, auto-rickshaw, or ride-hailing service from the city centre typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
