Puruchuco Archaeological Site
Located in the Ate district of Lima, Puruchuco is an Inca-era archaeological site that functioned as an administrative center for the surrounding region. Visitors go here to see the remaining stone structures and layouts that illustrate how the Inca civilization managed local governance and resources in the valley.
Getting There
The site is situated on the eastern outskirts of Lima. From the city center, the most common way to reach the ruins is by taxi or ride-sharing service, as there is no direct metro link to the entrance. Depending on traffic conditions, the journey typically takes between 45 and 90 minutes.

A walk through the site and its associated museum generally requires 2 to 3 hours to view the main administrative sectors and the architectural remains.
