Halifax Island is a small rocky outcrop located approximately 100 meters off the coast of Lüderitz, Namibia. Travelers visit this site primarily to observe African penguins, as the island serves as one of the country's major breeding colonies for the species.

Getting There

The island is situated near the coast of Lüderitz. From the city centre, it is a short drive of a few minutes to the shoreline. Because the island is separated from the mainland by a stretch of water, access is limited to boat trips departing from the nearby coast.
