The Pearl Island
The Pearl Island is a man-made archipelago located near Doha. It was developed as the first region in Qatar allowed foreigners to own real estate. Visitors go there to walk along the newly created coastline and view the residential and commercial architecture of the artificial islands.
Getting There

Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 3 to 5 hours to explore the different districts, walk the waterfront, and visit the retail areas.
When to Visit
The best time to visit is during the cooler months from November to March to avoid extreme heat. Late afternoon and evening are preferred for walking along the coast. The area can become crowded on weekends when local residents and tourists gather at the dining and shopping precincts.
