About Taipa

Taipa is a small island in Macau that blends residential areas, traditional Portuguese-style architecture, and modern developments. Travelers visit this area to experience a slower pace of life compared to the main peninsula and to explore the contrast between its historic village center and the large-scale resorts on the Cotai strip.

Getting There

From Macau city centre, you can reach the island via public buses or taxis. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic and the specific destination on the island.

Duration of Visit

Depending on your interests, allow half a day to explore the village area and the museum. If you plan to visit the larger resorts and entertainment complexes, a full day is recommended.

When to Visit
