Cerro del Villar
Cerro del Villar is a Phoenician archaeological site located at the mouth of the Guadalhorce River. Founded between the 9th and 8th centuries BC and inhabited until approximately 584 BC, the site provides evidence of early Mediterranean trade and settlement. Travelers visit this location to see the remains of one of the oldest known Phoenician settlements in the region.
Getting There
The site is located outside the main urban core of Málaga. From the city centre, you can reach the area via taxi or local bus. The journey typically takes between 15 and 25 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
