Cuevas del Tesoro-Higuerón y de la Victoria
These are marine caves located in Rincón de la Victoria, formed within limestone cliffs. They are one of only three marine caves of this type globally and the only one found in Europe. Visitors go here to see the geological formations and the point where the cave systems meet the Mediterranean Sea.
Getting There
The caves are located outside the center of Málaga. You can reach them via local bus or by car. The journey from the city center typically takes around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic and the mode of transport.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the cave systems and observe the interior landscapes.
When to Visit
The caves maintain a stable internal temperature, making them a viable option in both summer and winter. To avoid the largest crowds, it is advisable to visit during the early morning or on weekdays. The site can become crowded during peak tourist seasons and weekends.
