The site is located northwest of the city centre. Walking from central areas like Stortorget takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes across the castle park. Local buses and city bikes take 5 to 10 minutes.

Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the main galleries. Allow up to 3 hours if you plan to view the full castle complex.

When to Visit

Weekday mornings offer the quietest experience. The galleries get crowded during weekend afternoons and on rainy days. The surrounding grounds are best explored during spring and summer.
